This past Sunday, I treated myself to the ultimate indulgence: brunch at Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay in Manchester , and I can honestly say it was absolutely delicious from start to finish. If you’re looking for an elevated, share-style brunch that balances bold flavors, beautiful presentation, and a truly satisfying variety, this one is worth putting on your foodie bucket list.

The experience kicked off with Kyoto cucumbers drizzled in a delicate sesame dressing crisp, cool, and the perfect refreshing start. Alongside that came a bowl of steamed edamame sprinkled with Maldon salt simple, but totally addictive.

Then came the showstopper: the sushi platter. A chef’s selection of fresh, artfully prepared sushi that tasted as good as it looked. Every piece was a little bite of heaven.

Next up were the mixed mushroom dumplings, served in a flavorful cumin and dashi broth. Earthy, savory, and comforting—these were hands-down one of my favorites.

To accompany everything, the egg fried rice was rich and satisfying with its slow-cooked egg and a generous dash of XO sauce. It was one of those dishes you keep going back to for “just one more spoonful.”

And then came the fun part: the bottomless bao. Yes, you read that right. Bottomless. Bao. From the spicy tofu & avo bao to the crispy GFC (Gordon’s Fried Chicken?) with pickles, to the stone bass with Thai chimichurri—each one brought something unique and totally delicious to the table. We just kept them coming.

The staff were also a standout—so warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They made the whole experience feel relaxed, welcoming, and easy, even with the steady buzz of a busy brunch service. Every request was met with a smile, and they checked in just the right amount to make sure we were always taken care of.

To end the feast on a playful note, we were served Lucky Lollies—a sweet, whimsical finale that felt like a treat from the universe.
